Our spiritual growth depends on how we perceive Jesus. As Christians, it is necessary that Jesus’ identity is established in our life and it will only happen if we constantly cultivate our relationship with Him. We should always spend time with Jesus–read the bible, pray and fast, worship, fellowship with other believers and simply immersing ourselves in His presence.

As we do these things, not only do we grow in our faith, but we also get to know him more intimately to the point that we become one with Him. His desires become our desires, His passion becomes our passion, His mind becomes our mind, His acts become our acts, and so forth.

Knowing and encountering the being of Jesus makes our identity as sons and daughters of God whole. In Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28). In our darkest days, let us declare who He is. In our weakness, let us declare His strength...
