The manifest presence of God is not only a reality that a select few people have experienced; the visible and tangible presence of God is a reality that is possible for us all! You can literally soak and become engulfed with the Glory cloud of Holy Spirit. More than goose bumps, more than shaking under the power of Holy Spirit, and even more than speaking in unknown tongues, when your eyes are open to see the heavenly cloud of his presence your perspective forever changes.
I was in the eight grade, at a Church of God of Prophecy revival meeting in Selma, NC when my spiritual eyes were opened. I was seeking the baptism of the Holy Spirit along with three of my other friends. After we all prayed individually we all stood up and huddled together in prayer. A strong and inviting presence of God overtook us all and began to move. I opened my eyes during our prayer for just a second when I saw a bright blue mist or fog in the middle of our huddle. I quickly closed my eyes and prayed again before reopening my eyes yet again. There was the manifest presence of God again in our midst. As a thirteen year old child I had no clue what I had seen, or if I had truly seen anything at all outside of my imagination.
Hours later back at our friends home, someone else asked, "Did you see that blue light that was in between us as we were praying?" Once we asked our other friends if they saw anything, we discovered that three of the four of us saw the blue mist amongst us.
This is the manifest glory of God and it is more real than most people could ever imagine! This was the first time I saw the Glory cloud and it was among those in corporate worship and corporate prayer.
Today all four of us are born-again Christians!
Seek God and the Glory will come upon you!
"Abba Father, please send your Glory, send your presence, send your manifest cloud of Glory upon us now as we pray. Open our spiritual eyes to see your presence, see your hand at work in our lives, and see your promises for our lives. We love you Father God, and we worship you for who you are. In the name of your son and our savior Jesus Christ we pray and we believe. Amen."
