So, What Would Jesus Really Do?
The term WWJD or What Would Jesus Do became very popular a few years ago, and it has become a mantra for many people. For many people it is a personal motto or reminder to themselves, a reminder to "try" to do the "right thing". Commendable I guess. But can one ever attempt to imitate Jesus Christ? And if so, how? All too often people simply mimic the teachings and behavioral expectations of their religious institution and background. They believe that their outward displays of "religious teaching" will please God, please their religious entourage, and somehow change them into a "better person" - hmmm? ....
