I was called into the ministry of prophetic counseling, and life has never been more interesting!  Praise God for the ability to counsel and bring hope and direction to others.  So, what about you?

Can you bring comfort to other people?  Even if you are not a counselor, bringing comfort to others is a "skill" as much as any other skill you can learn.

The first way to bring comfort is through the anointing of God . Pray that God will bring an anointing upon you - for those who God brings along your path.  The anointing is crucial, actually a necessity for truly bringing comfort to people.

The second key to bringing comfort to people is active listening.  Many heals are wounded by simply having someone listen to their concerns.   Active listening is based on sincerity, and listening with not only your physical hearing, but with your heart.  Listening, not just to reply, but to hear and relate to the person where they are in life, and in that particular situation.

Who today will God bring into your life, and are you ready to truly listen.  Practice, yes practice, listening both to the person as well as Holy Spirit.  Change comes as we listen, and then counsel through Godly wisdom. 

Can you bring hope and impart faith?  You don't have to be a minister or a counselor - you are a believer and believers are to hold up one another.  And, we can all improve our listening and caring skills.
