How Do You Overcome? Here's How...

"testimony" services. I loved to hear how God was moving and
providing for the people in our small church. I often wondered how
such a BIG and powerful God could care about some of the small
things these people gave thanks about.
I am indebted to many of these elder saints for feeding my faith
as a child and teenager. How God was providing for the groceries
seemed small to me as a child, now as a father and husband it takes
on a new light. How God had healed a brain tumor for our piano
players father seemed hard to believe, but somehow I did believe.
Hearing builds faith. Hearing the praise reports was encouraging
for the church body, and it showed our honor and love for God.
But there is so much more.
The word of God tells is that we are made overcomers by our
testimony. This reminds me of an interview I heard with Ryan Wyatt
of Abiding Glory ministries. While seeking God before a conference
he had an actual visitation of Jesus Christ enter into his room.
The Lord came to Ryan dripping with oil, and told him this was the
"oil of the overcomer". When we testify of Jesus Christ we are
made overcomers, and then God can release the power of God over our
life and our situations!
We are made overcomers by our testimony! This is word of God
truth. The original word that we derive testimony from means "do
again" - read that statement again. "Do again" is powerful decree
when we attach it with a breathe of praise and a heart of worship.
When you give a testimony of what the Lord has done in your life,
or in the life of others, you literally are making a decree "Lord,
do it again" - when you speak forth a testimony of the Lord you are
opening up the Heavenly realms to "do again" the miracle, the
provisions, the sozo saving power over a situation. Yes, a
testimony may stir up hunger and increase our faith level, but it
also opens up the realms of Heaven to release God's power again.
Today I am asking you to visit our Praise Reports page and let's
have an online testimony service! Go online and post your praise
reports of the love and power of God. I believe that as we post
our testimonies we are prophetically decreeing, "Lord, do it again"
- Post the praise reports in an atmosphere of praise, and then read
the reports in an atmosphere of expectation and faith. I am
looking forward to seeing the miracles and power that comes from
these statements that overcome the works of the enemy.
"We overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our
testimony." - Revelation 12:11
