Why Ask For Money Wayne?

Why Ask For Money Wayne?

I want you to know my heart.

To begin this letter I want to let you know that we do not take any salary from the ministry.

None. Nada. Zero.  This includes myself.

We have other income sources, and all of the time we spend in the ministry is because of my desire to follow God's command over my life... "Comfort my people, comfort my people..."

At one point, we may receive a salary, as our goals and plans include an on-site counseling center and on-site educational school (seminary).  Your generous gifts will help make this a reality - your seed is helping so many people today, and for generations to come!

So why ask for the money?  There are numerous expenses lot to properly operate a ministry, and the costs are increasing as we grow.  We also distribute the money to our outreach program, and many other outreach and benevolent ministries.  Your seeds are changing lives!

Also we have a prayer team (all volunteers) that are trained and ready to pray for every single request.  And we offer as much information as possible at no charge - free ebooks, and our podcast series at www.StraightTalkWithWayne.com

Below is a letter from one of many ministries we support - SmileTrain.  We thank you for supporting us, and for allowing us all to share our heart with you.

In His service,

Pastor Wayne Sutton

Dear Wayne,

As our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, this week's tragic events have us all looking deep inside of ourselves. This introspection helps to reaffirm our faith in humanity and our individual roles in making the world a better place.

Supporters like you are crucial to Smile Train's mission, and we cannot thank you enough for all you do. Which is why I wanted to introduce myself to you as the Executive Vice Chair of our Board of Directors. I am responsible for Smile Train's worldwide strategy and operations.

For most of Smile Train's history, our Board of Directors has played a key, behind-the-scenes role in everything Smile Train does. After careful reflection and talks amongst our Board and senior staff, I feel the time is right for our Board to move out from behind-the-scenes and engage directly with the entire Smile Train family so that together we can make Smile Train the best it can be.

In the coming months, I hope to meet many of our supporters like you who keep Smile Train running. I would welcome your insights, feedback and any concerns you may have. I would love to hear from you!

We have many new plans for the immediate future as we come ever-closer to an important milestone in the next twelve months: performing our one millionth surgery. Certainly, we are getting closer to achieving our ultimate goal of a cleft-free world where every girl and boy has the chance for a full and productive life.

You've been a big part of our success and your compassion for others inspires us every day.  Thank you so much for your support that has made all of our achievements possible.

Best wishes to you and your loved ones,

Susannah Schaefer
Executive Vice Chair
