Stop struggling in your futile attempts to become what you already are!
Let me share that another way for you... You are RIGHTEOUS and called to go forth and live out a life of destiny! Yet, most Christians feel as if they must obtain or maintain their standing with God. This produces "busyness" in our daily walk, and many times prevents us from ever walking in
full destiny or purpose.
If I could ask one thing of everyone reading this article is to READ THE ABOVE again and again and again... and again.
Every day in our counseling practice we see people that are running on the "hamster wheel", looping through their own pain and turmoil over and over. In the futile attempt to walk in the level of holiness that heaven demands causes them to stay focused on a battle that has already been won, yet they are focused on the battle - not the
victory.
We wake up praying and hoping we can "live holy enough" to lease God and the religious system we are under - we try hard every day. Then we go to sleep at night, but not before praying our "humble" prayers of repentance and letting God
know just how bad we truly are... we pray to be good enough and then ask for forgiveness when we fail.
This cycle is damaging to your destiny! This cycle of despair keeps us looking at one person - ourselves. Instead we should focus upon the one true place of righteousness - Jesus Christ! As you begin to change your focus from YOU to HIM your true Identity becomes clear and your life can know flourish with purpose and destiny!
A double minded man receives nothing from the Lord. Are you a child of destiny that will walk in the promises and destiny already laid before you, or are you going to stomp, scream, and argue a fight that has already been settled?
If the enemy can keep you busy arguing and debating over who you are in Christ, then you will be unfocused and unsure of who you are AND you will remain too busy to make progress towards your destiny.
Do I believe in repentance for our daily shortcomings and failures? Yes, of course. However, I do not stay in a place of mourning, doubt, or debate with the enemy. I choose to believe Jesus when he said "It is finished" and then walk towards my place of destiny. What about you? Are you still on the hamster wheel spinning your wheels, or have you decided to believe Jesus and lay aside the useless attempts to be good enough.
The law was given as a schoolmaster, a tutor to show us that we alone are not able to accomplish holiness. It was a schoolmaster to lead us to Jesus Christ and the grace he has provided for you and I.
