When most people think of prophecy, we think of end-time events and wars, eschatology etc.

And this is very important!  Yet, also the Lord is concerned and speaks prophetically through all areas of life... 

Are you ready for a revelation?

A child with a runny nose and fever is just as important to God as the turmoil in the Gaza strip!  Just as important is the child about to drop out of school, the teenager facing the choice to abort a child or not...

Just as important to God, and he will send prophetic voices in all situations.  We need to look to God during the turmoils of the world for his voice.  Yet, just as important are the smaller issues, and His voice will prevail and lead if we are willing to listen.

One of the most powerful, accurate, and healing prophetic messages came to my life when my son was only 3 years old.  I am driving to church with my son, all the time fighting (and losing) a horrific migraine.  I gave up and drove past the church to turn around and just go home.  The pain was making me very sick and I could hardly drive. 

Explaining to my son why we are "skipping church" he replies with childlike faith, "Daddy, if you go to church Jesus will make your head feel better."  

 Simple faith, and I did not believe it.  That's honesty I hate to admit.  However, while singing the usual morning worship song my son looks over at me and asked, "Daddy, is your head better?"

Healed.  100% by the faith of a child.  

Was God really concerned over a migraine?  He had to be concerned with the middle east conflict... with political disruption... with earthquakes and hurricanes... why my little ol' headache and the prophetic promise of a 3 year old child.  Because the love of the father is real and he cares about the word spoken from a place of faith.  Study the end-times if you choose, yet let the prophetic love of God flow in all areas and in all concerns.
