shall guard your heart and your thoughts by Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:7
Divorce. Assault. Rape. Murder.
Pain is real.
Pain is
rampant throughout the world today - and the pain is targeted against us all. In our counseling practice we face many demons of despair and hopelessness, and often we encounter questions that have no apparent answer.
We seek and pray for revelation, and often Holy Spirit will allow us to peek inside the hidden areas of the situation. Yet at times we may seek for answers that seemingly never come
forth. It's during that time we must seek peace from Jesus, and allow Jesus to bring understanding in his time, as he chooses.
"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee..." - Isaiah 26:3
A question we must ask at times is what are we willing to surrender - our peace (in order to gain understanding) or our
understanding (in order to receive peace!)
Sometimes we simply will not have both... Can God give us both peace as well as understanding? Can the understanding itself bring peace to us? Yes. However, there are times when understanding may not come from God - yet he always chooses to bring PEACE.
"Lord, if you choose to bring us understanding over the issues in our life- we thank you. However we are willing to surrender our 'need' for understanding, in order to receive your peace. Jesus, you are the prince of peace - and we accept your peace into our life! In your precious name we pray Jesus. Amen!"
