We are to look ahead in expectation and faith - not behind.
Through years of counseling we have seen that too many times people are focused upon the past, whether it is positive or negative, and base their daily decisions and their daily attitude on the past. This is not only unproductive, but in many cases downright dangerous for your spiritual growth!
Our past is exactly that - the past! It only defines you if you allow it!
Today is your day
to walk in the destiny and purpose that God planned for you - let me repeat that - today is your day!
"But Wayne, you don't know what I have been through..." No, but God does.
Divorce - Death - Bankruptcy - Abuse... Life is not always fair.
Yet, the good news is that we can re-write our future, and not only can we walk in the grace and mercy of Jesus, we can be molded into His image by the Holy Spirit!
"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." - 2 Cor
3:18
Glory to glory - it is a promise of the Father, as you let go of your past and decide to walk in a glory-to-glory promise. The person you are today is not the person you can be tomorrow!
