I have heard my husband preach, teach, and even rant and rave about the manifest presence of God, and about the signs and wonders that often accompanies the glory of God's presence.
Despite those who preached against the signs and wonders, and the religious spirit that attempted to silence his voice, his persistent voice kept declaring the goodness and glory of our Heavenly father.
"Heaven on Earth is not just a religious cliché", he would shout, "It's suppose to be a reality - and it can be if we pray for it to come to pass!" If I have heard Wayne say it once I have heard it a thousand times, and I am sure I will hear it thousands more. However, after Saturday night, I may be declaring it more and more myself as well!
We were driving home from a business conference, and had a nearly 4-hour trip ahead of us. Wayne put in a Jason Upton worship CD and we were listening to track seven, "Fly" - when we felt such an overwhelming presence of God. I have never felt such a
presence in my life before.
"I felt like an angel was actually in the car with us", I told Wayne. "It may still be in here", he replied. I felt such a sweet and loving
presence and Wayne's forehead and both palms were literally hot to the touch. We took some more time to worship God and simply soak in his pres` ence as the waves of glory kept rolling over us.
About an hour later we pulled off the exit at a fast food restaurant, and as Wayne turned on the light to get some money out for the order, I looked down on my dress and could not believe what was before my eyes! But before I share this with
