In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.Hebrews 1:1-2

Personal prophecy does exist in the Bible. We look at one famous Bible character that hasexperienced personal prophecy in his life. We have a personal God and sometimes He communicates with us prophetic blessings, which is specifically for the prophet. 

According to Hamon (2004), we understand personal prophecy as a rhema, which is God's Word applied in an individual manner, which is subordinate to the Logos. God's specific Word can reveal itself in different ways.

There are prophecies that have a general nature. They are those that reveal the glory, nature, and character of God. These are passages that are applicable to all mankind. They speak of the restoration of the Church and the end times. Moreover, these are doctrines that deal with sin, repentance, and faith. According to Hamon (2002), personal prophecy is described as specific information coming from the mind of God for a specific situation, an inspired word directed to a certain audience.

There are cases wherein a prophecy has an incomplete nature. Messianic promises are of this sort. The same is also true for personal prophecies (Hamon, 2004).
