Tough times call for drastic and tough measures.

Or so we have been told. But does it have to be that complicated?

Now, I know that things can be hard and not every thing is all that simple. Or is it?

Aren’t we told to trust and believe? Aren’t we told to give everything to Him?

Sometimes easier said than done, I know. But if we truly believe that He is our provider, our way maker, our healer, our tower to run into, our rock, then why isn’t it that simple? We live in a fallen and sinful world. And we get caught up in all the muck and mire of the world instead of just resting at His feet and in His presence. He DOES talk to us and He DOES give to us His directions as He is working it all out for our good.

But it is up to us to spend time with Him and to listen for His voice and to listen for His directions. And when we do, how much simpler life can become. Come to Him with childlike faith believing that what He says is true and that He is everything that He says that He is. And that He will do everything that He says that He will do.

Not doubting.

But walking by Faith not by sight.

For He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him and walk in faith. Not saying that what we may have to do or go through is simple. But even still through it all He will see us through and give us the strength and peace to walk through the fire and to never feel the extreme flames or even come out smelling like smoke.

Come to Him all who are weary and He will give you rest. And He will give you strength and peace through it all. Notice it’s THROUGH it all and not...
